How to use text comparison

What does it compare?
Words, punctuation, spaces, and line breaks. Matching is case-sensitive. This compares plain text, not document formatting, and does not judge whether a change is correct.
Can I compare long documents?
Use up to 50,000 characters per input. Very different documents may exceed the comparison limit; compare shorter sections if prompted. A single empty box is allowed to show a complete addition or removal.
Does this tool save my text?
No. Your input is processed in this browser tab, with no uploads, saved history, or analytics events on Tools pages. Clear an input to remove it and its result. Normal network requests load the page and its code. Copying a result puts it on your device’s clipboard, which is managed by your operating system.
